About the Blogger

This blog belongs to a 17 year old girl living in the United States. She has many self-diagnosed problems that send her into tailspins quite often. This includes clinical lycanthropy, depression, possible bipolar, mild sociophobia and severe driving anxiety. Despite her friends, she feels alone. She hates things about herself, yes, but this is why she started the blog. She felt as if she could better express herself through the Internet and being anonymous. This is all she wants you to know about herself in general as to stay anonymous to her friends who may run across this blog. Please understand. If you recognize her, please don't say anything. This is her only possible outlet. She has kept your secrets...please just keep this one.

What are the disorders listed in this Blog?

-Clynical Lycanthropy-
Wikipedia says that it's "...A rare psychiatric syndrome that involves a delusion that the affected person can transform into, has transformed into, or is a non-human animal. Its name is connected to the mythical condition of lycanthropy, a supernatural affliction in which humans are said to physically shapeshift into wolves."

In this case, this disorder stop for Sunflower at believing that at time she has channeled her wolf side into reality. She has felt like one and cannot deny this. It is a rare disease that Sunflower keeps quite to herself. It is her secret.

-Depression-
Defined on the NAMI (National Association of Mental Illness) as "Major depression is a mood state that goes well beyond temporarily feeling sad or blue. It is a serious medical illness that affects one’s thoughts, feelings, behavior, mood and physical health. Depression is a life-long condition in which periods of wellness alternate with recurrences of illness."

Generalized grief and sadness cause my an imbalance of hormones. It runs in Sunflower's family so it is more than likely she has it.

-Bipolar Disorder-

Also defined on NAMI, bipolar is "...A chronic illness with recurring episodes of mania and depression that can last from one day to months. This mental illness causes unusual and dramatic shifts in mood, energy and the ability to think clearly. Cycles of high (manic) and low (depressive) moods may follow an irregular pattern that differs from the typical ups and downs experienced by most people."

In average 2 1/2 to 3 week sections, bipolar sends Sunflower on unimaginable roller coasters of pain and great happiness with a usual crash period after the pleasant periods.

-Sociophobia/Social Anxiety-

According to PubMed this is "a persistent and irrational fear of situations that may involve scrutiny or judgment by others, such as parties and other social events."

For Sunflower, this is not reserved for parties or social gatherings. Its anywhere in public. She is so suspicious and afraid of strangers she avoids crowds and will not let strangers stand behind her in a public place. This is due to relentless bullying from 2nd grade to 10th.

-Driving Anxiety-

There is no solid explanation or definition that can be found from a credible source about this disorder. So Sunflower has made her own. " A strong fear of operating a vehicle larger than a bike."

That's about it. Except for Sunflower, she has insisted she will never drive. Its too much.
